Steelgirlfriend Leila is still under work and changes. Project started 2002 and it is still going on. Her height is over 2m.

At this time I am working with her hands. This is a big project and takes time because it´s impossible to do everything at once.

The work "Alien" has been manufactured completely by welding of steel strips. The skull has been grinded shiny after the welding.

Year of manufacture 1999 Height 69 cm Width 78 cm Depth 12 mm.

The center part of the work has been flame cutted from 12 mm thick steel plate.  The beams have been flame cut from same plate. They have been forged to their form, grind and welded to center.  Finally it has been grind. Because of the remaining welding stresses and of various length and thickness of the beams, the work sounds wonderful when hit with sticks. Long lasting and soft high or low tunes are heard by using different kind of sticks (like metal, wood or plastic sticks). The work is intended to be used to create ambient music by connecting there microphones for recording the tunes generated by the vibration.

The material is extremely hard tool steel that has been forged to its form. The holes have been made traditionally with arbor. Finally grind · Tempered · Polished.

The "Axe" has been manufactured by traditional forging method. The hole in the shank is done with arbor.

 "Hair" have been flame cut from the same plate, forged to its form and finally welded to the face part. The "tongue" has been forged to its form, grind and welded to its location.  Finally the work has been grind and polished.

The sculpture has been flame cut from 12 mm thick steel plate as one part. After cutting it has been polished and bend to its form.

Height 180 cm Width 64 cm Depth 40 cm.

The cuirass has been tailor made from 1.5 mm thick sheet metal by cold forging.  The parts have been connected to each other by riveting.  The decorations in arms and the bottom shelter from iron wire are handmade armored mesh.

The tournament was arranged in a Middle Ages event in Turku in the summer 1998. The soldier was exhibited one year in Stia, Italy, in a flower castle, which was built in the 1400th century. 
I presented my soldier cuirass on MTV 3 television program "Velhojen Kunkku" in the spring 1999. I also joined in a tournament with my soldier.
