Sauli Saksman February 01, 1970 -

My way of doing art is handling of metal. When I work with metal I utilize traditional forging and modern methods.

I started my studies of forging techniques in guidance of master Mikko Fleming in 1998 (province museum of Turku). The graduation work (soldier) took six months of full day work.

During 2000 and 2001 I studied in Freiburg, Germany in guidance of master Werner Holzer.

Continuous exhibition at Sataman Helmi, Kauppkatu 2 Kuopio.

Museums of Aboa Vetus & Ars nova 

- Photos in final exhibition of a three-year Cultural Heritage project (Ars Nova). The project was under control of the Ministry of Education.

 - Photos of the exhibition publication "Skål" - Broken Pieces in the Middles Ages - Work "Soldier" exhibited in the museum of Aboa Vetus in the summer 1999 

- Works "Soldier" and "Alien" exhibited in Biennale Europea d`Arte Fabbrile in the autumn 1999. The exhibition is held every second year in Stia, Italy.
